Borut Toškan is an archaeozoologist who studies the relationship between humans and animals from the Early Stone Age to the modern era. His research focuses on domestication, the development of livestock farming, dietary habits (also) in relation to social and functional differentiation in society, animals as elements of ritual practices, and the paleoenvironment.
