Mateja Belak is a senior specialist assistant at the ZRC SAZU, Institute of archaeology. Her research is focused on Early Medieval archaeology, scientific cartography, digital archiving, and archaeological databases. She is a curator of Zbiva archaeological database since 1990s and as such among the pioneers in the field.
