PROJECT ARRS J7-1817: 5000 YEARS OF GRAZING AND MINING ACTIVITIES IN THE JULIAN ALPS (SLOVENIA) (2019-2022)

In the first year, we will core wetland in the vicinity of the village of Srednja vas. On all other study sites sedimentary cores were already collected; therefore, we can immediately start with laboratory preparation and analysis of samples (pollen, diatom, geochemical, mineralogical, and sedimentological analysis). Since a large number of samples will be analysed, this task will take part in the first 30 months of the research project. Additional samples will be C14 dated in the Poznan Radiocarbon Laboratory.
