ZRC SAZU has presented the inaugural ZRC Horizon Star Award, recognising outstanding achievements in securing and implementing international research projects. The first recipient of this new distinction is Dr. Edisa Lozić from the Institute of Archaeology ZRC SAZU.
In the past year, Dr. Lozić has led the partner responsibilities in the Horizon Europe project AI4Europe, headed the ARIS fundamental research project GENNI, contributed to the preparation of six new Horizon Europe project proposals, and participated as a researcher in the Horizon Europe project ARTEMIS and the CHANSE project TETRACHs.
The award highlights Dr. Lozić’s exceptional contribution to European research efforts and her role in advancing digital humanities and cultural-heritage research at ZRC SAZU. Her work demonstrates how scientific excellence and advanced technologies can be effectively combined to shape the future of cultural-heritage studies.
