Assoc. Prof. Jana Horvat

PROJEKT ARRS J7-1817: 5000 YEARS OF GRAZING AND MINING ACTIVITIES IN THE JULIAN ALPS (SLOVENIA) (2019-2022)

is leading the archaeological part of the project. Jana is an expert for Roman archaeology. Her primary research interests include studies of Romanisation, the Roman army, pottery, towns (Poetovio) and countryside. In the Alps, where she is coordinating work of archaeologists from local museums and non-professional partners, her pioneer research focuses on field surveys, as well as the chronology and function of archaeological sites.
