IzA Library

The Institute of Archeology also has a public library specializing in the field of archaeology. It works within the SAZU Library. Its collection includes around 50,000 library items (monographs, series and special editions). The annual inflow is around 1,300 units. Most of them are acquired through exchange, the annual purchase is around 200 units.
The library card catalog is available, and the material can also be searched online in the electronic database COBISS.

Operating hours

Borrowing of library material (up to 3 books) is possible following three stepc:
1. Order the material by email at polona.janezic@zrc-sazu.si.

2. You will receive a notification when the material is ready for collection.

3. We will set the time together on when to collect the material at the Institute of Archaeology, Novi trg 5.

When you arrive at the entrance at Novi trg 5, please note that the door is locked. Call +386 1 47 06 343 or another number if agreed to do so.

Book return

Book returns follow the same procedure.

Please return all materials borrowed so far.
