Published on: December 19, 2025As part of the Horizon Europe project ARTEMIS, in which ZRC SAZU is a partner, a networking event aimed at connecting related European institutions in the field of cultural heritage was held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (Koninklijk Instituut voor het Kunstpatrimonium) in Brussels. The event focused on cooperation between projects, coordination with European policies, and, above all, reflection on synergies and further steps in the field of digital cultural heritage.
The event was attended by representatives of the European Commission and the largest projects working on digital transformation of the cultural heritage sector currently underway: ARTEMIS (Franco Niccolucci), 3D-4CH (Marco Medici), ARGUS (Anestis Koutsoudis), IPHOTOCULT (Anastasia Giakoumaki), E-RIHS UK: HSDS & RICHeS (Julian Richards) and ECHOES (Xavier Rodier).
The program was divided into two parts. In the first part, participants presented their project activities and discussed opportunities for cooperation and joint approaches. The second part focused on linking projects with EU policies and developing concrete plans for strengthening synergies between projects and ensuring their continuity after the end of the funding period.
