Polona Janežič is an assistant at the Institute of Archaeology at ZRC SAZU. She is currently working on the REPLICO project, where she is supplementing the ZBIVA archaeological database. Her focus is primarily on data from early medieval cemeteries. Until 2018, she worked in commercial archaeology, then spent several years at the MGML Archaeological Center, where she was in charge of the primary processing of archaeological material. In recent years, she has been primarily involved in experimental archaeology and culinary history and archaeology, both professionally and popularly, and is also active in the dissemination of cultural and food heritage.
