IzA Library

The Institute of Archeology also has a public library specializing in the field of archaeology. It works within the SAZU Library. Its collection includes around 50,000 library items (monographs, series and special editions). The annual inflow is around 1,300 units. Most of them are acquired through exchange, the annual purchase is around 200 units.
The library card catalog is available, and the material can also be searched online in the electronic database COBISS.

Operating hours

Borrowing of library material (up to 3 books) is possible following three stepc:
1. order material at maja.jevnikar@zrc-sazu.si
2. notification that the material is ready
3. collection of material at the Institute of archaeology at Novi trg 5 between 8.00 and 10.00. (When you are in front of the door at Novi trg 5 (the door is locked), call +386 1 47 06 380 and I will bring your books.)

Book return

Book returns follow the same procedure. Returns are possible every day between 8 and 10 am. Call and I will come and collect the material.

Please return all materials borrowed so far.
