Current research: Tatarli Höyük (Turkey)

Palynological research at Tatarli Höyük (Turkey) is being carried out in cooperation with researchers of Department of Archaeology (Dr. Serdar Girginer) and Department of Botany (Dr. Halil Çakan) of Cukurova University in Adana. The vegetation and archaeological heritage of Southeastern Turkey is very rich, but very little is known about past environment. In 2010 field survey and test palynological sampling was carried out in the vicinity of Tatarli Höyük.

The landscape is very dry, however, there is hope that study sites, suitable for palynological research will be discovered.
